The Character of Style
What can be considered as the most important qualities of one's style? Is it the color choice, textile complexity, or use of material? Or is it the personality of the character (the wearer), chosen to "ROCK" the style of self expression, spreading messages of good tidings and cheer? Either way, being wrong isn't possible. Your style should speak alone, telling us who you are, before you do. We must also take into consideration, that many things can be "said" in many different "ways," and perspectives are relative. So, STYLE how you mean, and mean HOW you STYLE. #wink
STYLE - a distinctive appearance, typically determined by the principles according to which something is designed.
PRINCIPLE - a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning.
CHARACTER - the distinctive nature of something.
Your natural way of BEing, influenced and nurtured by your experiences, has cultivated your beliefs about WHO you are and HOW you are. Style isn't only about clothing and accessories. Style is about an aura, an essence, an energy. It's about what you exude, when others are in your presence. Who does your energy say you are? What does your energy say about you? Identify your consistencies, and determine what that has materialized. Do the same for your inconsistencies, and make note of the manifestation. These help to shape your character, and the style will already exist.
